Yọmi Adegbile is an American author, artist and illustrator from Kissimmee, Florida. He is a content creator on YouTube and Instagram with over 40,000 followers worldwide.
WHO AM I
Yọmi Adegbile is a 22-year-old multidisciplinary visionary, who has many titles such as author, content creator, and polyglot. He is the author of books such as Seul au monde: Alone in the World, When the Coati Cries, and the Jaguarcitos: The Mariachi Family series. He grew up in Central Florida, in the city of Kissimmee. He has since traveled the world, living in countries such as South Korea, Mexico, Vanuatu, and France for extended periods of time. He has received an education through the Brown-RISD dual degree program, where he attended Brown University and Rhode Island School of Design. His interests in anthropology and illustration have shaped his writing and creative works. In his free time, he enjoys writing, making YouTube videos on his channel "It's Yomi!", playing mariachi music, and learning languages.

Q: What label would you use to describe yourself?
A: I'm a visionary. Sometimes I feel like an author. Other days, a graphic novelist. Sometimes, I just feel like an artist, and other days, I consider myself a singer or even a performer. So, I like to call myself a visionary.
Q: How many languages do you speak?
A: I don't have a finite number. Some days I speak 5. other days I speak 6. Sometimes I go months without practicing a language, so i lose some proficiency. I usually say that i speak 6.
Q: what's your favorite language that you've learned.
A: I have studied 12 languages in school, but French is my first love. Berber was also cool to study. it was very difficult. I also liked the novelty of being an AMerican, studying catalan.
Q: What's your favorite city you've lived in?
A: Paris, the city of lights
Q: how long have you been making content online?
A: Since 8th grade. It's been a while
Q: what inspires your fashion?
A: Honestly, i just like to be myself. despite judgement or how others may perceive me, i wear what makes me happy.
Q: What inspired the jaguarcitos comic?
A: Honestly, i had thought about the idea for a while. Why doesn't anyone make a comic about a mariachi band that fights crime on the side, as superheroes.
Q: Who's your favorite character that you've written?
A: Hmm, probably Billy from Seul Au monde: Alone in the world. He has so much character. Irlanda Balam from JAguarcitos is also really unique, and has a lot of depth.
Q: Are there any new story ideas you have?
A: Always. I have near a dozen ideas in my head right now. And some of them i'm actively working on.
